The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???

Posted on: April 18, 2008 9:51 am

April 19th will begin the most intense and highly-contested Western Conference playoffs the NBA has ever seen, or at least that's how it looks on paper.  We'll see who brings their "A" game, and we'll see who, if anyone, folds and collapses.  Boston and Detroit are the beasts of the East, but I would be very cautious of Washington, Orlando, and Cleveland, because as we all saw last season, Lebron can single-handedly lead his team to the NBA Finals.  The Spurs are my #1 team, and the Jazz are my #2, so those are my choices, I'm hoping for a Western conference rematch.  I would really like to see the Spurs win back-to-back titles for once, instead of taking a year before deciding they want to win it all again.  Come one, come all, make your most outrageous predictions, just be prepared to back them up with facts, or be prepared to eat crow.

It will be the SPURS for the West and the SPURS winning it all.  It would be crazy to think anyone else!  The East is up in the air as always, but I definitely don't want to see a rematch of last years final. "Blah!"  Maybe Boston can make it interesting.

Ivan,

I hope Washington can pull off beating Cleveland.  Lebron James is the second whiniest player in this year's playoffs, the #1 being Tracy "don't touch me" McGrady.  I also love how Lebron thinks he's the toughest S.O.B. on the planet.  I have yet to see a basketball player, especially NBA player, throw a punch like he knows how to fight.

Buckholz,

I'm glad someone besides me is cheering for the SPURS!!!!  Go Spurs!!!!!!

The logic would tell you it will be a Spurs vs. Pistons NBA Finals.  However watch out for the Hornets.

I am so proud of my three year old son.  He knows how to hit 24 on the remote for Cartoon Network and 60 for ESPN.   It brought a tear to my eye and I had to share it with everyone.  He still sings Lakers Suck and wears the shirt from when we went to the Spurs-Lakers game this year.  His damn real father brainwashed him into loving the Cowboys so we are going to therapy for that.  Everyone have a great day!!

I believe that it will be the Lakers vs. Hornets, unfortunately i pick L.A. to advance, in the Western Conference and Celtics vs. Cavs with Boston advancing in the Eastern Conference and a Lakers vs. Celtics matchup in the Finals!!!!  Boston wins the series 4-2 in a awesome series that flashes us back to the days of Larry Bird, Bill Walton, "Magic" J
