The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???

April 19th will begin the most intense and highly-contested Western Conference playoffs the NBA has ever seen, or at least that's how it looks on paper. We'll see who brings their "A" game, and we'll see who, if anyone, folds and collapses. Boston and Detroit are the beasts of the East, but I would be very cautious of Washington, Orlando, and Cleveland, because as we all saw last season, Lebron can single-handedly lead his team to the NBA Finals. The Spurs are my #1 team, and the Jazz are my #2, so those are my choices, I'm hoping for a Western conference rematch. I would really like to see the Spurs win back-to-back titles for once, instead of taking a year before deciding they want to win it all again. Come one, come all, make your most outrageous predictions, just be prepared to back them up with facts, or be prepared to eat crow.

The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???I know I'm coming into this late, but here are my predictions: Celts over Hawks in 4 Cavs over Wiz in 5 Majic over Raptors in 5 Pistons over 76ers in 5 Lakers over Nuggets in 4 Jazz over Rockets in 4 Spurs over Suns in 7 Mavs over Hornets in 7 Overall it will be a Celtics vs Lakers final with the Celts prevailing in 7

The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???The Lakers, as much as I hate 'em, go up against the Spurs. The Spurs take 'em out in 6 games. I am a Rockets fan, don't really like the Spurs, gotta go with a proven winner. They are not flash, just money when it's crunch time. The media would like to see a Lakers/Celtics game, but ...............................................................Not!! |

The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???Not really having an NBA team that I would consider myself a fan of, here is what I hope for purely for entertainment value. I hope Boston wins the East because I have always liked KG and Ray Allen and I really don't see any other team, even Detroit, giving the Western Conference champs much trouble. In the West, I want to see LA and SA meet up in the Western Conference Finals. That match up really intrigues me. In the end, I think it will be Boston and LA, and the Celtics will win a very entertaining series. This will be the first finals, if it is indeed Boston and LA that I will be interested in watching. |

The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???Why are there so many Kobe haters out there? He is the best player in the world and 2nd greatest ever behind the Legend. As for the Suns, what a joke. Shaq has really brought down the ability of the Suns to be a contender to win it all. Shaq best years left him the year he won #4 with the Heat. Lets face it the only reason he had some life in him was because he had something to prove. The Lake Show has the easiest road ahead of them of any team in the Mighty, Mighty West. Between the Suns, Mavs, Hornets and the Spurs they only got to worry about one of them. The Nuggets are the most undisciplined team in NBA history, and they have no shot. As long as T Mac is around forget about Houston, and then there is the Jazz. The Jazz do scare me. They have a very solid team, with a PG that you could argue pretty much on par with the 2008 NBA MVP runner-up, Chris Paul. Never the less, the Lakers in 6. I also got to ask why is all of the hype with Boston's Big 3? Kobe, Pau and LO is just as good if not better. Look how dominate the Lakers were after Pau was gift wrapped and sent to LA. Lets also keep in mind, the injuries the Lakers have had all season long. 08-09 will be great once the Lakers can display the Big 4. Take your time Bynum, there is a run of 2-3 championships on the way. |

I don't like Kobe because he through his former teamates under the bus after he was busted. Take your lumps and bumps and keep the respect of the people that had your back when you needed them to. I think your Lakers did have some devestating injuries, but isn't that part of sports? I am a Rockets fan and we lost probably the best big man in the league. I do believe that LA will make the finals and lose to the Celts. I don't hate the Lakers. I just don't respect Kobe for what actions he took during his ordeal................Go Rockets!!!!!! |

The NBA playoffs have arrived, any predictions???Lakers are looking very good and Kobe has gottem them to believe. People hate Kobe for calling out the ownership but it had to be done. Kobe works harder then most to win, winning is what drives him. Shaq was lazy so Kobe called him out. So lets hate the hard worker and fall in love even more with the lazy one. Shaq was the one whom is still crying. Kobe just wanted Shaq to truly become the greatest ever at center but that take hard work. |

And that Pau Gasol trade was so ridiculous, I'll bet there was some underhanded dealings going on to pull that trade off. Because Memphis got basically nothing in return for him. My Spurs just finished off the Suns, and next up is New Orleans. The Jazz, meanwhile, played like dopes last night, and Houston is biggest bunch of whiny women masquerading as men, as I've ever seen. It's not tennis ladies, its basketball. |
